Before Ninos Shamo finally made it in e-commerce, he had been failing miserably. For six months, the young entrepreneur spent time and money trying to make an income to no avail. It was not until his birthday in September that he bumped into his magic product. It was an automatic match: a flame that stays lit in the wind and rain. It made him $500 on the launch day. “Depending on the shipping location, the product would only cost me $1-2 and I would sell it for $14.99,” Ninos says.
Like other successful entrepreneurs, Ninos had to begin somewhere. He also had his fair share of challenges to overcome in order to be where he is today. At just 18 years of age, Ninos is making up to $10,000 per day in profits from a few brands he sells on Shopify.
Ninos is a self-taught entrepreneur, taking as much as he can from educational platforms like YouTube. While doing some research online, Ninos bumped into an ad by Alex Becker about a course on how to make money online. In the end, he was required to spend $2,000 for the course but he did not have that kind of money at the time. With the inspiration he got from the video, Ninos got down to work.
What followed was months of research and trying new ideas. One such idea was a bikini store he opened in June. In spite of investing $1,000 into the business, it did not pick up. That was not all, as the young entrepreneur continued to face unexpected challenges along the way. “Facebook would sometimes slap my account with a spending limit or disable my account altogether,” he recalls. “Other times it was PayPal that would hold my funds,” Ninos continues.
Somewhere along the way, Ninos found a mentor. For the first time in a long while, there was some light at the end of the tunnel. He took a break in July and August to work on his weaknesses and tone his strengths.
When he finally came back to business in September, Ninos decided to leverage extremely specific marketing strategies. “I learned that the product, ad, and landing page must be congruent so the sales funnel flows very well. You don’t want the customer to get distracted on your site and the description should be detailed enough so that customers understand the fundamentals of the product,” Ninos advises.
Despite having a great start with the automatic match, Ninos started to see a decline in sales. Like the professional he was gradually becoming, Ninos decided to implement a tactic he had learned. He launched another winning product. This time it was a Bluetooth adapter for your car. The strategy worked and, once again, the 18-year old entrepreneur was making insane profits.
Now he has his eyes set on a different Shopify strategy. “I am looking to create a very broad store with different products,” he says. “Once I find the winning product, I will take the item and niche it down to its own brand, give it a new logo, store, and name, an Instagram and Facebook page.”
Apart from making historic profits every day on Shopify, Ninos has launched his own course called Shopify Scalerz. He now teaches his own students how to make money online through e-commerce. Unlike other courses on the subject, Ninos only teaches proven methods. Instead of creating “get rich quick” content, he has put together actual strategies that have worked for him. According to Ninos, “It’s all about learning the skill, because then you can go ahead and teach it.” “You want to be able to duplicate the skill so you can be running 5 stores at once,” he says.
Ninos has been a driving force in the eCommerce industry teaching students of all ages how to get into the game. You can follow Ninos Shamo on Instagram @Ninos
