“We all are teachers as well as students in this institution called life”, a profound quote by Eylin Pérez Chu Molina. She is a yoga teacher from Lima, Peru who has brought immense positivity in everyone’s life with her yoga sessions. Being a yoga instructor, she considers herself a student as her entire life has been a learning experience. Her first yoga session was way back in 2001 during the summer holidays, and since then, it has been an integral part of her life. However, Eylin did not think to take up the profession of a yoga teacher.
Her first career choice was to become a medical practitioner. She even attended Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia to pursue a degree in medicine. However, she soon changed the stream and enrolled herself in the prestigious French culinary and hospitality school, Le Cordon Bleu, in Peru. Before being a yoga instructor, she got certified and graduated as a pastry chef. “I always wanted to challenge my potential, and these professions were challenging but did not fascinate me”, said Eylin. Furthermore, she stated that yoga had been a part of her life from an early age.
During her senior year in high school in 2010, Eylin enrolled for a Power Yoga class in Lima Yoga, a renowned studio in her hometown. The sessions attended by Eylin changed her perspective about life. “I started attending various other yoga sessions and workshops. Yoga has indeed helped in boosting my overall well-being, and a lot of things have improved in me in the last few years”, she added. The yoga sessions took her out of the comfort zone as many asanas were challenging, and it required body flexibility. Through consistent practice over the years, Eylin has become a top-notch yoga teacher today.
It was in 2015 when she took the first training of being a yoga teacher. During that time, she underwent two surgery after suffering from endometriosis. “The time was tough, but yoga and meditation made every problem turn into a solution. It healed my body and soul, and gave a new meaning to life”, added Eylin. Besides this, she is a fitness freak and has always emphasized the need for having good nutrition and proper sleep. Not just this, in 2017, she had gone through yet another ankle surgery which restricted her from walking for two months. Tough times passed, and the yoga teacher got back on track and is inspiring thousands of people with her teachings.
“Whatever I have learnt is because of the teachers who imbibed great knowledge in me. There is nothing better than gaining wisdom and sharing it with the world”, states Eylin. Overcoming all the health issues, she is globetrotting and has travelled to many countries for yoga workshops including India, Netherlands, France, Bali, USA and Nepal. Currently residing in Doha, she is keen to travel to other countries after the pandemic. Well, this dynamic personality is indeed an inspiration for all who have thought to give up on life. All we wish is that Eylin Pérez Chu Molina brings the positive change and may she continue with the incredible work that she is doing.
